CAF Power & Automation will participate in RAIL LIVE! Madrid

RAIL LIVE will be held from 31 March to 2 April. Our colleague Mikel Alza, as moderator of the round table "HIL Environments"

CAF Power and Automation will participate in the Rail Live! Congress & Exhibition that will be held in Madrid from 31 March to 2 April. The CAF Group will receive visits and offer information to those interested at stand 77.

At this congress, which brings together the sector's most important companies, in addition to the exhibition there will be debates, networking, presentations and practical cases.

ROUND TABLE HIL ENVIRONMENTS

On 1 April at 11:30 a.m., our colleague Mikel Alza, head of the Hardware in the Loop Laboratory, will be the moderator of the round table called Virtual Validation and homologation through HIL environments in traction systems

Mikel Alza carries out research into different traction and energy storage solutions and projects, and is an expert in applications of HIL systems.

At this round table we will discuss the results obtained by our team within the project called PINTA1 (Workpack5: Requirements, specifications and developments for virtual validation and certification) and PINTA2 (Workpack5: Requirements and specifications for virtual validation Workpack14: development and acceptance of virtual validation concepts)

This research, carried out within the SHIFT2RAIL European framework, focuses on the development of tools for the virtualisation of traction systems.

These tools make it possible to reproduce in a virtual environment the problems that may arise in a real environment, such as train validation tests, which helps to reduce the validation and certification costs.PINTA2

SHIFT2RAIL and The Basque Country

In relation to the European SHIFT2RAIL project, the signing of a memorandum between the Basque Government and SHIFT2RAIL took place last January. This signing took place within the framework of the Basque Railway 2020 conference, in San Sebastian

This cooperation agreement will increase collaboration in railway research and innovation within the Horizon 2020 framework, identifying priorities and synergies between funding institutions at European level that might promote the railway sector.

MORE TRADE FAIRS IN 2020

This year CAP P&A will also participate in RailwayTech in Indonesia and in Innotrans in Berlin.

Railwaytech Indonesia is the largest railway fair held in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). It has been postponed until 26 August.

We are currently collaborating with PT INKA, the most important train manufacturer in this Asian country, in the LRT JABODEBEK project, in the supply of the traction and control system for the 31 LRT (light rail train) units.

In late September (from 22 to 25) we will attend the German Innotrans fair, the European railway event par excellence. The world's biggest railway operators, manufacturers and component suppliers will be there. So will CAF Power
