The CAF group will take part in the first Go Mobility event on the 27th and 28th of November in Ficoba, Irun, in Hall 3 stand 10.
Go Mobility will be the setting that brings together manufacturing, integrated and fleet operator companies with public institutions to meet and share sustainable and smart electric mobility solutions.
With the aim of responding to current urban transport needs, the CAF group is adding hybrid and electric buses produced by Vectia and Solaris to its range of efficient railway vehicles.
CAF Power & Automation will be present with their onboard GREENTECH energy storage technology for railway vehicles. This technology allows catenary-free operation and braking energy recovery, thus reducing the environmental impact in cities and contributing to non-polluting railway transport.
GREENTECH has recently been awarded "The Technical Innovation of the Year” at the prestigious Global Light Rail Awards, the most important event in the railway sector that recognises innovation and excellence.
The Greentech technology has been successfully implemented in cities throughout the world, such as Birmingham, in the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Seville and Granada in Spain, while respecting the integrity of the historic centres and reducing the environmental impact.
Currently, the city of Newcastle now has the first URBOS Tram of the 6 unit series under test. It is operating with the Greentech storage system which is fully integrated with CAF Power & Automation's control and traction systems.
