On 18 and 19 April, the World Metro & Light Rail Congress will be held in Bilbao, Spain, in which CAF Power & Automation, together with the CAF Group, will participate as one of the main railway representatives.
This congress, which will host the world's leading exponents of the urban railway industry, will offer forums for debate, networking, conferences and workshops as well as an exhibition area, where the CAF Group, stand 10, will attend the visits and offer all the information on railway systems and vehicles.
In addition, CAF Power & Automation will host the round table "Indentifiying next trends for On board energy storage sytems in rolling stock vehicles" in which, in less than an hour, our expert in on-board energy systems (OESS), Xabier Larrea, will identify and analyse, together with other participants, the trends in energy storage for railway vehicles. This round table will take place on 18 April at 11.20 am in the TECHNOLOGY AND STRATEGY ROUNDTABLES space.
Origin of this congress
The World Metro & Light Rail Congress & Expo is the largest event of its kind in the international urban railway sector, which has proved to be a success after more than 14 years of running, thanks to the fact that it offers a space for debate and strategies for the new challenges facing the railway industry.
Under the title "Innovation, Technology, Performance" it will be held for the first time in Bilbao, thanks to the collaboration of the Basque Government, SPRI, ETS, Euskotren and Metro Bilbao, and the support of Mafex, the Basque Country being one of the largest railway manufacturing centres in Spain.
